Editorial Review:
Gold Calling Card service is provided by Group of
Gold Line (Canada’s largest and one of the most reliable providers of prepaid long distance calling cards, service provider of
CiCi, OLA,
20/20, Good Call,
Africa Call,
Hi and many other calling cards). While offering the same as CiCi, excellent quality of connection and communication, Gold Phone Card offers better than CiCi rates. However unlike CiCi, service fees charged after 3d minute of the call, reduce the number of actual minutes to about 90% of advertized minutes (in average, for longer calls). Gold Calling Card may provide a much better than CiCi deal (more actual minutes) if card is used for fever number of longer calls (CiCi may be better for multiple short calls).

Gold card is a good calling card. Not the best, but ok.

Reviewer: Tatsiana who calls Belarus
Compare to all other cards i can talk all time i pay for!
Thank you very much. I use Gold card for calls to Belarus to my family and I never had problems with connection in 3 years!!!
- Great Service
Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls US, Canada
Works fine! Inexpensive!
- Outrageous! A 7% administrative charge applies to the advertised rate.
Reviewer: Ivan who calls Italy
They advertise a rate and then they apply a 7% administrative charge to the rate. That's outrageous!
I'm not using this card ever again!
- Great money value but!
Reviewer: Margaret McIntosh who calls South Africa
Gold card is wonderful money value wise, there I can't complain. The quality of the actual phone connection is more often than not a very good connection. I have on more than one occasion phoned back on my bell line because I simply could not hear the person on the other side. Of late I do think twice about weather I want to try another phone card or just save myself the frustration of spending 42 minutes repeating "what did you say".
- Cheapest
Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Angola
I found this card to be the cheapest calling Angola. Most phone cards give you 55-60 minutes for $20, and this one gives 73 minutes! I'm glad that I found it on ontariophonecards.ca
- excellent card
Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Mongolia
Good connection, no hidden fees.

Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Canada, Netherlands
I have been happy with the card until I ran into problems. Sometimes, when I dial the number, it disconnects. Customer service is NOT AVAILABLE from my calling area, and the province number to connect is not available from my calling area.
- great card
Reviewer: Sebastian who calls Austria, US
no hidden fees or surprises and great connection every time. i just got another one.
- Great for Canada to Canada or Canada to USA
Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Canada, USA
Probably the overall cheapest rates you can find anywhere for calling North American numbers from Canada.

Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Russia, Israel
Last 3 months the connection to Russia is very bad.
- deceptive info
Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Canada, US, Holland
It says No Hidden Charges. However, when reading the fine print, I find out that a 5¢ service charge applies after 3rd minute of call.
+ a 7% additional administrative charge applies to the rate per minute advertised above.
- Hidden Charges
Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Germany, Poland
Trying to call Germany from Toronto, Ontario I am told that I have 33 cents left on the card, yet after dialing I am advised that I have only a total of five minutes of air time. That does not jibe with the advertised rate of 2.9 cents per minute, plus a 7% markup, plus a charge of 5 cents after the third minute. In other words, there are hidden charges, contrary to the advertisement.

Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Syria, Saudia Arabia
This card is good in respect of minutes given BUT many times recently there have been THREE major problems:
1) I have been having hard time connecting to my destination;
2)losing money because I am getting connected to some sort of machine that speaks some foreign language;
3)if I get connected, finally!, the quality of it has not been good that I'd have to call again in hope to have a better quality connection and I am even afraid to try hanging to call again because I am afraid I won't get connected again.
- Very good connection
Reviewer: Tina who calls Senegal
This is the first time since I have used the card that the connection was great! Nothing bad to say about it. Thanks!
- What Is No Hidden Charges Supposed To Mean?
Reviewer: Ivan Avery Frey who calls Canada
The advertised per minute rate is 2.3 cents, but the fine print says there is a 5 cent service charge after three minutes and a 7% administrative charge applies to the per minute rate.

Reviewer: Giselle who calls Panama

Problems:

-Rates are not accurate: ate it all so quickly (even when calling landline)
-Not reliable
- High quality, as advertised

Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Thailand, Hong Kong, Canada, Russia

Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Canada
- Sound quality very good
Reviewer: Anonymous Reviewer who calls Italy, US, Britain
I call Italy regularly - to both land and cellular phones. I found that although the cost for calls made to cells was pricey the line quality was excellent. Land phone calls were inexpensive and again the sound quality was great.
