Editorial Review:
Freedom is a good prepaid international calling card for one a few long international calls. Freedom delivers 100% of announced minutes for any number of long distance calls, but imposes minimum first minute charge of 30¢ (regular posted rate applies minute by minute thereafter). Good connection, clear voice, long distance service by Primus Canada (very well known and reliable telecom).
If call is not connected within 40 seconds, please press ## and dial your long distance number again, or 30¢ first minute charge may be applied. We do not recommend Freedom for short (1 to 30 minutes) calls to low-rate countries (Canada, USA, China, European Land Lines etc.). Freedom calling card could be used from anywhere in Canada. In areas with no local access numbers you can use toll-free access number - 1- 888-438-5651 (online calling card only); you will get the same rate as with any local access number (no extra fees).

Callers receive local access rates when using the Rest of Canada/US toll free number (from outside a local access calling area).
Minutes advertised are based on usage of entire card value based on a single call from Canada.
Billing is based on:
1 minute increments, 1st minute fee of up to 50¢,
an in-call network charge of up to a maximum of 25% applies to the rate per minute after the first minute of call,
an in call fee of up to 50% of the base rate may be charged based on the destination called, time of day, duration of the call and the access number used.
If you choose to use this card for multiple calls, the following charges apply and will affect the minutes you will achieve using this card:
An in-call network termination charge of up to a maximum of 20¢ may be applied each call.
Customer is responsible for the following potential charges:
Additional charge of 5¢ per minute applies on calls placed through an 888 access number when a card is used in the United States.
Additional charge of 50¢ applies for calls made through public payphones.
A disconnection may occur due to the quality of certain cellular or telephone networks beyond our control.
25 cents per minute will apply when a card is used in area codes 867, 907, and northern BC
If a call is placed to area codes 867, or Northern BC, a per-minute fee of 10 cents is applied to your call.
